Arran is easily accessible.  Caledonian MacBrayne runs an excellent ferry service to the island all year round from Ardrossan to Brodick  (55mins) and Kintyre – Claonaig to Lochranza (Summer – 30mins) and Kintyre - Tarbet to Lochranza (Winter - 1hour 25mins).  For further details and ferry times please click on the following link www.calmac.co.uk

From England just head towards Carlisle and the over the border into Scotland. From there follow the signs for Kilmarnock, then Ardrossan and then you can take the ferry to Brodick. If you are traveling by car then we would strongly recommend that you book your ferry crossing during peak times e.g. Summer and Glasgow Weekend (last weekend in September).

From the ferry terminal turn left onto the main A841 coast road and follow the clear signs for Kildonan – we are 10 miles south of Brodick.

There are frequent services to Glasgow which in turn has excellent links to the rest of the UK. Where possible the trains and ferries are timed to minimise connection times.

There is a great choice of national and international flights, many at budget prices, flying into Glasgow Prestwick International. The airport has its own railway station to link you to Ardrossan.
